Why is location information required?

Eden Health is required to obtain the location of patients while they are using the Eden Health app in order to comply with state regulations.

Based on the location submitted by the patient, Eden Health ensures that patients are connected to appropriately licensed providers, even while the patient is traveling. The location of a patient may be detected automatically through the device or input manually by the patient. Without obtaining the patient location while the patient is using the app, Eden Health cannot conduct a virtual consultation with the patient.

Automatic Location Sharing

Patients may enable location permissions for the Eden Health app to experience seamless automatic location sharing. Eden Health will only have access to patient location when the patient is using the app.

Manual Location Submission

When patients manually enter their location, this information will remain valid for a period of 24 hours. After 24 hours, the patient must update their current location in order to receive further virtual consultations.

Privacy and Security
Patient location information is secure and will only be used for the purpose of complying with regulations. Eden Health will never sell or share patient location to third parties.
