My name is Lina and I am originally from Bethesda, Maryland. I am a Board Certified Physician Assistant. I graduated with honors in 2011 from University of Maryland, College Park with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and wrote my senior thesis in Neuromodulation. This launched my career as a clinical specialist in Spinal Cord Stimulation for chronic pain with Boston Scientific, and subsequently Deep Brain Stimulation for Parkinson's and movement disorders with Medtronic. After five years working in the Operating Room with skilled Neurosurgeons and Neurosurgical Physician Assistants, I realized I wanted to treat patients more directly. Three years later, in 2018, I graduated with distinction from New York Institute of Technology and was inducted into Alpha Eta Honor’s society. I spent the last 2 years as an Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant at Montefiore Emergency Room in the Bronx, N.Y., which bolstered my clinical skills and clinical decision-making. I have experience managing a wide variety of pathologies from the common cold and earache to acute surgical abdomens, cardiac arrests and strokes.
