Hi there! My name is Alyssa and I am a licensed clinical social worker. My career began in case management, which is when I realized my passion for helping others achieve their goals and supporting individuals through difficult times. I decided to obtain my master's degree in social work, which then led me to become a licensed therapist working in both inpatient and outpatient settings. I have worked with a range of populations including those with both complex and mild mental health challenges, specializing in the area of stress management and treatment for anxiety and depression. My approach is person-centered and I like my patients to feel as though they are an integral part of their own treatment team. I use a supportive and collaborative approach drawing from treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. I also incorporate mindfulness principles in most of the work that I do.
